August 20, 2012

This picture was taken at a members house today. (8/21/12)

It has been a crazy week! Mom, you should know better than to leave your phone out.... i am happy that you have learned not to do that... EVERYONE!!!!! knows how to work an iphone so be careful!!! and you farting is the best! it made me laugh thank you! Jenni your kids are so cute on their firsst day of school! cali has gotten so big! and her hair is so cute! is zoey's still red wow!! that has lasted FOREVER!!! poor cade, i really loved his picture it made me smile and want to hug and kiss him!!! i really do miss little kids... sister taylors little girls are the only interaction i really have with little kids and her oldest girl came to church wearing a dress that zoey used to have and it made me a little homesick to be hugging on little ones... but i do hope and pray that cade does get better!! that is no fun to be sick!!! I am also glad to hear that zayen is a growing boy :) and that chris is going back to school that is the best thing he can really do for himself. Thank you for FINALLY telling me what is up with my father... i write him letters but i never know what is happening with him... so thank you for the update!
WHAT!!! bishop morgan is going to be relaesed!!!  that is crazy!! but he has been the bishop for some time now... please call my mission office to let them know that there is a change... or tell me asap!!! i need to let them know... they always remind us of these things... i wonder who it will be... CRAZY!!!
Mom how was the quilt show... i hope you didnt fall in love with any new quilts... you have too many that you have started and have not finished yet! :) Thank you for the update on payton... i wrote joe last week to just drop him a line... i hope they like when i write them letters... or that they know that i still think about them, so the boys ever say anything about getting my letters???
So, this week is a new transfer, i cant believe that it has been 6 weeks with out sister jackson now!!! crazy!!! and guess what!!! ... yep im not leaving the deaf branch... but i already knew that... but i have so much fun with all the people we are teaching!! We were also blessed with many appointments this week. We received a new investigator, Xa but we are a little confused by what she is telling us a lot of the time, we do know that she has been learning from the JW's so we will see what happens but one thing that was very clear, when we commited her to baptism her answer was a definate no. But she invited us back for the next day, so we know the Lord softens hearts. We also started teaching Kreim, she is hearing, but her parents are deaf, and she wants to come to the Deaf Branch but we are trying to encourage her to go to the singles ward, she is 21 and we know she will like it a lot, we are planning on bringing a sister from that ward for our next lesson so she can have a fellowshipper in that ward, but she did come to church and very much enjoyed herself, she also did meet the Elders of the singles ward, we pray that all will go smoothly. :) We also have Tony and Michelle, Tony's girlfriend Vivi, who had her baby this week. But we learned that Tony is only 17, very intersting. But they all want baptism very badly. Tony and Michelle made to church this past sunday but Vivi did not cause of just having a baby. They are trying to be baptized in early Sept. Then there is Adela, she is so cute! And we just love her to death, she had an addiction to smoking but she told us since she  has been coming to church she has been smoking a lot less. :) Our only problem is that when we make appointments with her she is never home but when we show up randomly she is always ready and willing to learn, and even wanted to come to a baptism this weekend, and asked about President Monson's birthday brodcast, but she didn't make it to church this week so we will be visiting her as soon as we can.
WOW!!! so many people the lord as blessed us with in such a short amount of time!! it just proves that this is truly the lords work and not mans. :) i am so happy to be a missionary!! :)
The weather here.. has been hot, hot and more hot... but at night it cools down to the 80's and it is a lot nicer to knock doors then, but at night when we sleep sister tagge freezes me out with the ac... it reminds me of home just a little bit... thanks mom... :)
I recently started reading the new testiment and i am now in matt 20, and i am trying to understand all that i am reading but i am learning so much about the chararter of christ! no matter what he stops and helps and heals everyone and feeds them too, and he answers all questions even though he knows that we wont like the answer that we are going to hear. I also learned that when peter james and john go up to the mount with christ they hear heavenly father's voice, i never knew that i love to see when heavenly father is talking in the scriptures. :) also i have notice all through out the book of mormon that the story of the firey flying serpents and the children of iseral are EVERYWHERE!!!! i think there is something to learn about having faith to just look and live, how can we look and live in our lives... we can look towards the savior and his atoning sacrafice and partake of the sacrament every week and be renewed. I love how the scriptures are like a story book and no matter how many times you read it you learn something new from it each time!! :)
Well, i love you all! i hope you have a good week! :)

God be with you til we meet again!!

Aliens! 8/13/2012

About 3 people have asked us this past week if we think that Aliens started the world then they proceed to go off on really really REALLY random tangents about how the world is going to end durning WW3 with an Alien invasion. ... ... we have also learned that the bible was not writen here on earth, it was written else where. that all the moutains were made by man and that any one with an education is a lier.... how we coop you may ask... ask soon as we are back in the car we laugh until we almost pee our skirts... I love being a missionary and knocking on doors. :)

MOM!!! you got an iPHONE!!!!!! WHAT!!! yes i know it is just like your ipad... duh they are both apple products and are exactly the same just one is smaller and you can make phone calls. ... wow!!!!

Jenni, thank you so much for all the pictures... i love them all very much!!! and as i found out on sunday.... that you remembered my password to facebook... i hope you like the pictures that sister taylor puts up.

Chris... i will keep praying that he gets the better job.. as always... :)

Crystal... I love you! :)

SO my past week... it past in another blurr... i cant believe that thsi transfer is almost over.... wow!! we are starting week 6 of 6... but both sister tagge and i know that we will not be transfered... and that our new companion, sister smith will be entering the mtc this week on the 15th, ( our President gave us all the good details)

The earthqake... i felt two of them... one on Tuesday night around 11... i woke up after it... and then Wensday morning the one around 9:30, that is the story to tell... we are in the middle of companion study and we hear a big BANG! and we both look up cause we think that the person above us fell and then everything starts to shake... sister tagge hits the floor and hids under the table while i scoot back and look at her and start laughing... by then the shake was over... and i couldnt stop laughing... so so so funny!!! but all is well our members told it is was a 4.4 shake and very small. we are not all that worried about it... and kinda cant wait for another one to happen. :) see mom, all is well.

Yesterday we had so many people come to church it was crazy!!! in our sunday school class there was not an empty seat so good! and then we were about to teach 3 new peolpe after church, tony, vivi, and michelle. Tony and viv are dating and vivi is pg and going to pop any day this week and michelle and tony are brother and sister and their mom is a member. :) anyway all three of them accepted baptism and a date in september... YAY!!! Adel also can to church again with her Daughter LC and they enjoyed themselves, we love them all so very much!!!! and Stephen FINALLY!!!!  took the sacrament for the first time, and this week we are going to start talking about temples... wish us the best of luck!! :)

ALso this week we had president interviews... i love that time so much!!! it is that special one on one time that  i can have with president bowen and ask him questions and be enlightened. IT is so uplifting to talk to him and when i do i can feel the love he has for me and all the other missionaries!! It is truely amazing!!! :)

THe meds are working amazingly.. :) i truly feel happy for no reason at all. :)

Well i hope all is well and that all are happy and that payton's eye/ bugbite gets better. did dallie say anything about her picture of jesus??? Keep me updated on chris and his job interviews... you should put his name in the temple... and you never answered me about dad and why he had sergury.... :) What Ryan is going to California too... crazy!! is it english speaking??? i will write him again when i have the chance. :) please tell him that i am happy for him. :)

I love you and i pray for you all!!

GOD BE WITH YOU TIL WE MEET AGAIN!

Picture Time

Did i really just see what i think i saw, week....‏ 8/6/2012

This past week has been amazing!!

So story time....

There is a man named John, he is very nice and friendly. he is the son of two members of our branch and lives with adel our investigator. so we go to teach adel and she is not home... but... john is and so we teach him... outside... anyway... so he goes and tells us how he was in jail and how he prayed for god to let him go... and he is able to walk out the front doors of the police station and the cop looks right at him and says nothing.... then he goes on to tell us about living in Las Vages... how exciting and how he would always help the missionaries... well through out the course of all of his stories we are able to teach him the gospel of Jesus Christ. then we show him the Book of Mormon... and read and apply scriputes to his life. we then ask him a simple question... if there was anything you could change about yourself what would it be. "to stop smoking weed" he them proceeds to pull out of his pocket his stash... ... and then... aother items... wow... ... did i just see what i saw as a missionary... yep... well so we give him the book of mormon and say we will try and see adel another time... as we leave we can't believe it!!! but all we wanted to do was throw it away!! .... .... ... so the next day we decide to go see if adel is home... and she is and they are all siting around outside... and so we start to teach her... John is there again and tells us that he was teaching his nephews who were there too about all that we were talking about, and how nice we are... and then he helps us teach adel, that was very nice of him... well right smack in the middle of our lesson about the restoration the nephews get some visiters... remind you we are sitting outside teaching... the nephews bring out some rather large plants... these 4 plants are very special... and also very illegal... anyway we countine with our lesson... but yep once again i cannot believe what i saw... and they were not small plants... they were as if not taller than me. but... we planted good seeds... John, adel and adels very less-active daughter came to church yesterday and stayed for all three hours... and said that they are planning on coming next week.

What fun sister tagge and i have. :)

That was the HIGH light of our week. but we still see all the good that our angels bring us as a protection. i can feel them near every day... and they are smiling apon us.

Sounds like the baptism was amazing. I am happy to see all of the pictures you sent me. THankyou!!!
I also got the package too!! thank you!!! i love the pens!! :) and the puzzel... thanks alot we have it apart but dont know how to put it together again... :/
WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THAT DAD HAD SURGRY, AND FOR WHAT????? I WANT TO KNOW THESE THINGS!!!!

It is also good to know that dallie's heart is softing about wanting to go to church... i think i will send her a pass along card that has a picture of jesus on it... i think she will like it. I just hope that jeff and charity dont throw it away.

WHat is hand and foot... and how do you get ride of it... and how do you get it... what is it... it sounds sad... have any of the kids had any blessings??? that might help!!!

How did you like the pictures???

This coming week should be fun. we have sisters lunch and president interviews. :) so i cant wait. :)

I think i will write a letter to bishop morgan and send it to you... so you can give it to him, but i am suprised that he asked about me... thats good to know. :)

I think i am happier now that i am on the pills... i think that they are ok with what they are now... i need to get them refilled this week... but all is well, i think i am doing better, well i know that the lord is helping me do better :)

thank you mom for sending me the resipies for cooking :) they will be made soon. :)

I love you all so much!!!

God be with you til we meet again!!

Love,

Stephen was dunked! 7/30/2012

It is true, on July 28, 2012 Stephen entered the waters of Baptism at 4:20ish pm my time. It was amazing, aside the fact that Elder Brush almost cracked his head open, but it was amazing!! It was so nice to see him all in white, to be clean from sin. It was a beautiful service and ordinance. I am so grateful to be a missionary! My joy is once again full! I am so happy to bring light and learning into his life! I truly do love this man, he may be stubborn and no compliant at times but he finally did it! what a relief! There will be pictures to follow this email. dont worry you will see a face with the name. :)

SO my week. WHAT a week! It went by too fast!! we were so busy teaching that we didnt know up from down! and it is so much fun! we have a new investigator, Adela. She is so cutie and amazing. and so smart, but her language is more basic, mostly because she knows spanish better than ASL/English.  but she is on her way to baptism too! she has come to church twice and has met with us twice and has started reading the picture book of mormon. and she is loving the spirit in her life. our first lesson with her, her friend Anna came, she is a member and brought her to church the first time, well Adela felt the spirit so strong that she cried in the middle of the lesson and accepted baptism!!! we are so excited for her! She also told us that she has the desire to stop smoking, we think this will be our biggest challenge for us. but alas we need a little trials right. :) We are still teaching, Alisa, Adriana, and Ashley, they are all sisters and there mom is a recent convert. the two youngest are very happy to be learning the gospel they are 11 and 13 but Ashley is 15 and is struggling. we recently taught them the word of wisdom and the law of Chastity and she said she would not follow either and doesnt pray when we leave. SO... ... we are praying... but we have the support of all of her family.

I am happy that everyone has made it home and safe. I am sorry that it is so hot in Colorado. It has cooled down a lot here so tracting is a lot better and we are not sweating all the time anymore, which i like. Mom, when you tell me you and the kids go swimming... to you know how hard it is not to be jealous, there are pools everywhere here, in fact in Juana's backyard, where we teach her every week is a pool, and all we would need to do is take one wrong step and we would be in water, so... some times when you tell me that you go swimming all the time is not that nice... fyi. but i still love you. I have no idea where this week has gone... it went by so fast... and we have no clue how stephen got baptized... it is crazy... all i know is that i was supper stressed... so stressed that i received a cold sore... not nice... and it hurts alot... i got some stuff to put on it but it doesnt help in the slightest so i think i might go big and get the good stuff... abrivia. but we are happy that both sister tagge and i did not get sick this week, that is a blessing. :) Mom, you would be so proud of me... my nails look amazing and getting long for me... can you believe it... i havent bitten my nails for four weeks now!! :) yay me!!! OH!  that reminds me... there is a huge controversy going on at the deaf branch if it is modest to wear nail polish... we the women say it is a yes and the men say it is a no... welll... i find it very intersting as both sister tagge and i have our nails painted right now... sister tagges are brown and mine are pink... we think that the sisters of the branch are happy with the missionaries, sisters and elders to be on their side. :) we just think it is super funny!!

Mom, Thank  you so much for all you do for me!! thank you for dealing with my cell phone and all that goes with it! it really means a lot to me that you are helping me. there are many blessing that are coming your way i promise! I love you so muCH!

That was very nice of you to spend time with Morgan and Masen, I sometimes write them letters and i have no idea if they get them or not... i hope so...

My hair is getting long too... i cant decide if i want to cut it again or not... but the ends look gross... so i dont know... oh and my white spots are more noticeable than ever... it is kinda funny, but i like it!! :)

Cali is getting baptized this saturday i am so excited for her!!! it will be a lot of fun!! i am sending her a card so i hope she likes it! and i know she will have fun!!!

How is everyone doing... give me an update on the family... the whole family... like has ryan gotten his call yet??? is jessica pg yet?? ;) how is diana... how is grandpa... where is he living now... i want to write him a letter and stuff but i dont know where to send it... how are jeff and joe??? how is Dad?

Well, I want everyone to know that i love them so much! And i am so thankful for all that they do for me! I am so happy for all of them to be my family. I can feel their love and support all the time and i am so grateful for it! I love you all so very much! I want you all to know that being a missionary for the lord is and has changed me for the better, and i like the person i am becoming. I just pray and hope you all like me too... that i wont be a know it all when it comes to the gospel but i am just soaking it all up like a sponge and i love my studies they are so much fun!! i cant wait for the whole of my life to study the scriptures and the gospel!! there is so much in them!!!

I love you all!

God Be With You Til We Meet Again!!

Love,
