so... i just sent you a letter on wensday... not much has happened since then... sorry to disapoint... i did go on an exchange with a sister, and we ended up haveing to help the deaf sisters out cause sister smith was sick and they had appointments, so... i got to go out with sister tagge and it was a blast!!!! I miss the deaf branch so so so much!! next week is transfers so we will see what happens!! 

mom!!! i need you to send sister tagge a birthday box... her mom sent me one... even if it is small, please please please!!!! I only ask cause like i said her mom sent me one... her name is laci tagge... please please please!!! send her anything... she likes indian things... and her fav color is forest green... i am making her something... i just think you should do it please!! her birthday is Feb 5th. 

so... welll... hmm we had a fireside last night about missionary work and i think it went really well!!!! we were excited by the turn out and the partiapation... it was over all very very very fun!!! :) 

i did go to the doc and he did up my meds... ... 

it has stoped raining here again and is now back to its sunny self... yay!!!! 

so... you should be so proud of me... i tried fruit that i have never had before... papia, and gavia... no thanks i dont think i will ever have it again, but i at least tried it... and coconut, raw... GROSSS i think i like it a lot better dried... 

so sorry this is a short email... but i spent most of my time answering moms question... oh and mom... i think it would be nice to see the snells... and i dont care if it is a long drive there will be three very capable drivers in the car... umm... i would like to see the temple where ever we go... ummm i think that is it...

Another Week in LaHabra...‏ 1/23/2013

yes i still love my hair!!!! it is so so so so easy to do in the morning and it now looks like i do it everyday!!! how lucky am i??? :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

 

I am soooo sorry that every one has been sick!! everyone here is sick too... soo... we are trying to stay away from it all, i think the lord is blessing us in that front!! I do hope and pray that everyone gets better a lot sooner!!!

 

Mom, i am emailing today cause today is my p-day, we went to the temple today... and it was super fun!!! :) the time when by way too fast!!! since ive been reading out of the old testiment i reconized some stuff from exodus... and it was pretty kneet. :)

 

I cant tell when one day ends and the other begins... wow!! it has been supper CRAZY!!! I did get a letter today from greg... that should be intersting to read... and i also got one from taylor brush... a fellow asl missionary that went home... its intersting to write him and see what it is like to go home from a mission... but he is kinda lame and doesnt have a social life so i dont get any juciy storys, oh well!!!

 

I was very happy to know that dad liked his birthday present, that makes me happy!! i spent a lot of time making it... and it took a lot of relaying on the spirit to know that to say and what to mark... i hope that it will help him see why i love the gospel and why i am out here... i am just tickled pink that he likes it!!! :)

 

wow dave even came to dinner, does that mean he is part of the family again??? do i need to start writing him letters too???

 

lets see... our investigators... well philip... his wife was just in a car accident... and she may or may not have been drinking, so he has been super busy and hasnt had time to meet with us, and then we went over to just sneek atack it... he got the flu too... so ... he is at a stand point, then there is Racheal...i love her to death, she is like a grandma to me, but... she just doesnt "feel it" in her heart yet... so ... .... and then Alexandria, she is 11 1/2 she has come to church two times in a row now and is loving it... she loves to learn about the gospel and even remembers everything that we teach her, and she accepted baptism, but... her mom... well... her mom said that we should wait for baptism cause she doesnt know yet. so we will see what happens....

 

we have been working so hard on trying to find people to teach and we are having no luck at all... but we are still trying...

 

yesterday we had our sisters lunch, that was a lot of fun!!! We learned that every single one of us sisters will be training and my favorite quote from yesterday from president bowen..." there is a saying - we have found the enemy, and the enemy is us- but when i was in the MTC it was - we have found the enemy, and the enemy is the laurals-, and now the laurals are coming" hahahahaha that made everyone laugh so hard cause it is so true!!!! I Thought you would like that!!!

Jenni, yes i got all of the pictures and i love them all!! i had to show a lot of them to the elders that are sitting right next to me!! :) and i love your hair it looks so cute!! :)

 

oh that reminds me... i had dinner with debbies nephew, that was intersting... but fun at the same time... crazy how small our world really is... and his mission was in colorado springs... hahaha!!!

 

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to get a refil on my meds and i think i will ask them to up it a little bit, and i think that will help me, so.. we will see

 

mom so when are you going to have your surgry??? are you going to have it when you are supost to pick me up??? or after the cruise???? i worry about you all the time and i wonder if  you are doing ok...

Another Week Gone by‏ 1/14/2013

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I GOT MY HAIR DONE!!!!!!!!!!! AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went this morning and i got it done by a Korean lady... she did a body perm... i love it... she was so nice she did a perm that is from Korea that uses different chemicals and smells a lot less and is more of a cream base than a water base, but i love it and she used bigger rods, and korean rods that make it not as tight and frizzy.... and it looks so cute!!! poor sis nipigkit, it took longer than expected so... i feel really bad... i think i want to buy her lunch... 

I heard about the Broncos loseing... that is cool that dad and chris went to the game i am very sure that they enjoyed themselves, good for them! :) 

That is really sad to hear about nicole, wow ... well the lord knows how to help and maybe it is better right now that the kids are with with her parents. 

my week... went by way toooooo fast!!!! wow i cannot believe that it is already the middle of jan. where has the time gone??? wow!! this week we have been working on trying to find people to teach, and not with a lot of luck, except, we started teaching Alexandra, she is 11 and her mother is learning too, but not as commited as she is ... she came to church all by herself, and she loved it!! we have also been able to go back and to read the book of mormon with her and we were able to explain the doctrine in it and she just loved it!!! I am so greatful to be in the lives around me, to see them all change for the better! I love being a missionary!

It is good that you mom are spending a lot of time with with all of your grandkids. the memories you are giving them will last a life time. it is a bummer to hear about jeffs house, that is too bad... who is cleaning it up??? 

i am going to try and send out dad's package.. today, or tomorrow... i finished it, :) i really hope he likes it it is very personal and i hope he understands the care i took in making it. :)

i have decided that i would like to try and go and see as many temples as we can on the way home, i think that will be fun... possibly so sessions in them or inisatories , but i think that would be fun... and... umm...  

OOOOHHHHH!!!!!  they might open up the asl lines... and if they do, the area they are asking to be opened is north and west... and that means that Jan's place would be included... i looked on the map to find it... and yep its there!!! hahahahahaha it is so funny!!!

1/7/2013 Why do people not think we are Christians???? I HAVE CHRIST'S NAME IS BOLD LETTERS ON MY CHEST!!!!‏

thats right!!! i am so tired of people telling me that i am not a christian... wow... i wish they knew the true meaning of being a christian and then they wouldnt have to ask they would be needing to change their lives to fit more in harmony of christ's teaching... but... peope do have their agency and like satan i cannot take it a way from them, but i very much want to ... most of the time... but... such is life!!! 

well i am very happy to hear that everyone arrived home safely... that is good that my prayers are being answered... mom... your too late... even if i wanted to fly home i already set the wheels in motion for you to pick me up... and that is ok with me... i hate flying so ... it is ok that you pick me up, i will be happy to see you, as of right now my date is still june 4th... so... but what i really want is for dad to come with you... i pray that he will... i think it will be nice for him to see... and to know what i was doing, i will be asking for it in every letter i will be sending... i am happy to learn that he is going on the cruise with us... and on the note... mom are you trying to make me trunky... homesick???? sending me the agenda of the cruise... wow... big trunky move!!!! but yes i am very excited... and dont be ploting with debbie to have jim there are the same time... i know how you work mother your arranged marriage will not work out im sorry to say... but... look on the bright side it will be a fun trip and i cannot wait to go... we have seven more months to wait... are you couting down yet??? or are you counting to the pick up date... so back to that mom, when you come... you have to arrive here on monday, i dont want you stocking me... and i would like to not stay in california for a long time on accounts i will still be a missionary, so ... i wont be able to do a lot of stuff... i will still have to act like a missionary and stuff... so... please be nice about the agenda you plan out for when you come to get me :)

mother... i cannot wait to get my package... i went to the mission office today to change the tail light on the car and i checked to see if it was there... but i hope if.. you have sent it already that the zone leaders have picked it up already... but i cannot wait to get it!! :) :) :) :) :) 

so... my new pass time is crowshaying scarfs... it is a lot of fun and keeps my hands busy at night... i will have to send you some pictures later of them... i think they are very cute... they are a basic chain with two strands... and it is suppppper long so it can wrap around over 30 time... i like it and you know me ... i need to be doing something... :) :) :) :) :) :) : )

Yesterday i learned how to make chicken fried stake... it was super good!!!! :) a talent i will take home with me! :) 

right now we are not teaching a lot of people but we are doing a lot of tracting... it gets tetious... and ... boring.. but i try to make the best of it... hence my subject line... 

i was sad not to get any new pictures ... i look forward to seeing them... but its ok i know you are all busy

so... have you started talking to your friends yet??? are you inviting them to learn from the missionaries... not someone who is ready for baptism but some one who needs help in their lives... come on help them out!!

this coming week i have two exchanges... i am kinda nervous about them... it will be the first time for me to go on an exchange as a coordinating sister.. and not just a normal sister...  so... pray for me...

this month i will have to go to the doctor again to get  a refill on my pills, i think i will ask him to increase the dose a little bit, i think that will help me a lot...

HOLy COw ItS BeEn a LONGGGG TiMe‏ 1-2-13

WOW!!! it seems life forever!!! since i have been able to email you guys!!! it has been such a long day!!!

so today i had a meeting with all of the Leadership in the mission... it was from 10-3... and it is so long to be sitting there recieveing training... i am ready for bed now!!! but alas...  i still have a few hours... but i have some good news... our mission is doing great... and that last year we had a total of 306 baptisms.. and next year we will have a goal for 500 baptism... that should be fun, but right now we are on the right pase to achive that goal!!! But that means a lot of hard work and obedice and faith in the lord. :)

I loved looking at all of the pictures that i have been sent... they are fun to look at!! I think that Dave and Jeff look so much a like... it is crazy and Angela still looks the same... and that all of the children are getting way way way tooooo big!!!! and i love the picture of mom's face... was it when she was opening the kookoo clock??? I am happy that every one had a good time there!! i had fun here too... the high light was calling you guys but... after that we went caroling and that was a ton of fun too... but it was a good christmas!! one i will never forget!!! :)

so here in Lahabra it has been FREZZZZZing!!!! I know right?? Sunny California FRRREEEEZZZZIIIINNNNNGGGG but it happens... it was 43 the other night... and it is raining allll the time so the sun doesnt come out that often... so Sis Napigkit and i broke down and bought some more tights so our legs can be warm... and i feel so sorry for her all the time... she is alllwaaayyysss cold... she is so small as it is, but she is not used to this kind of weather at all... poor girl!!!

We have had our fun though!!! We have been focuasing on finding a lot more... so we are knocking a lot more... and trying to ask members for referrals too... which reminds me... i want alllllll and i mean every single one of you to pray and to ask Heavenly Father who you can invite to take the missionary lessons... this is the time when the gospel is being shared every where and there are so many missionaries out there and they need someone to teach... dont be scard if they say no... pray and pray again... and the lord will show you who to talk to and who to invite, i promise you that you will see the blessings of your labors, and you will feel the joy  that comes from it!!! So... do it so i can also recieve the blessings on this end toooo!!! PLEASE!!!

Sorry for being a missionary but... its what i do everyday all day long... so... i have to do it to you too!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) i love you!!

I am sorry mom that you had a small house and cant fit all of your postiarty inside of it... but think of the blessings that you have recieved with such a big family!!! :) :) :) :)

and yes i did send your package... through fedx... there is a member that is a manager and she is sending it for me... for free... well... i offered to pay and she wouldnt accept it... but if you get a package from fedx its from me and i hope you like all of your gifts!!! :) :) :) it was really hard trying to figure out what to get you!! :) so i hope you like theM!! and the wraping tooo :)

I talked to President Bowen and he loved the candy... he also shared it with the office staff :) and she felt really touched that you included him. :) and sister Bowen.. had no clue... it was kinda funny the face she made him when she found out that he didnt share, but it is probley for the best casue she cant eat a lot if different kinds of foods anymore... but... i did talk to him about you picking me up and he gave me the guildlines for it... and they are.... :

 directly from the handbook for mission presidents

"Missionaries should travel directly home from their missions. any other travel is permitted only when the missionary is accompanied by at least one of his parents or guardains. The Church discourages parents from picking up their missionary. However, if they do request this privilefe, make sure the parents understand that:

-Their plans must be based on the release date you establish

-They should not request a change in the release date to accommodate other plans or commitments.

-they should inform you and the church travel office a least three months in advance of they plan to travel with their missionary.

-they are expected to make their own arrangments, including travel, lodgeing ,and meals. you are not expected to host parents in the mission home or make any arrangements for them.

make sure that the returning missionaries understand that they are not to impose on members, missionaries, or other missions as they travel and that they are to dress and conduct themselves as missionaries until released by their Stake President"

I think that we can follow these... so i will let the office know that you are picking me up... the date as of right now shold be June 4th, but that may or may not change... so... i will keep you updated if it does... but i do know that i dont want a big feeasco with it all... nice and simple... please... and i kinda dont want to go to disneyland... its not worth it...

with that said... i am not throughly trunky and cannot wait to see you... but i guess i need to wait 5 more months for that :)

All is going well here in Lahabra and i am having so much fun!!!... mom what ward were you in when you lived in west covina??? there is a member in our ward that was a stake pres over there... and i want to see if you know the same people possiable... maybe... so..

I do hope you and dad go some where for your birthday... and fall in love again... i think thats what both of you need!! go to like the hot springs... or go to yellowstone... somewhere fun... just the two of you!! but what ever you do dont come here to california... i know you too well mother... i know you will try and stock me... so please dont but go and have fun with dad!! :)
