Early E-mAIL 12/22/2012

Well i am able to email you today becasue the library will be closed on my p-day... so... and to also tell you the time we can skype eathother!!!! YAY!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! will i will be at bro nazer's home, and there will be 4 sis missionaries skyping that day... but we will be starting at 12pm... our time... and i am the second sister to go... so i will be calling around 1pm my time... 2pm your time... i think it will be fun... it might be earlier and it might be later but that is a rough estament of time... so it should help! i am very excited to be able to see all of you!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) and that is good to hear that Dave moved back to Colorado... does that mean he will be around more often??? for family things??? where did he move too??

 

so to answer some of your questions... Sister Jackson just left to go home ( she is my trainer and my companion before sister Tagge) so she is no longer in the mission. Sister Tagge is still in the Deaf Branch with Sister Smith. Sister Punaa went to Anaheim, and has 7 more weeks here in the mission. I love sister Napigkit!! she is the best!! he is from the phillapines... and we laugh all the time too... so i have a asian companion and she doesnt know how to cook... its a lot of fun! she is older, 25 and is also an RN she was working at a hospital before she came out and she was working in the OR... she is supper short and small all over... we have a blast together... and she is very very very good at english.

 

I dont know why president kept me here in Lahabra... part of me thinks casue Bob prayed for me to stay and for sister punaa to leave... and God does always answer prayers... so my creeper got his wish. I dont think it has anything to do with being Coordinanation sister... ... ...

 

Mom... you MUST!!! ASAP send Sister Bowen some of the sock snowmen that you sent me... she just loved them to death... if you havent already sent her some... she saw them becasue i gave mine to Sister Ray... and she had them at her desk and people never stop commenting about them, and when sister Bowen saw them she picked each one of them up and examined each of them very closely... and so the next time i saw her i asked her if she wanted a set and she said yes... so mom, you need to make her some ASAP!!! please with sugar on top.

 

also, i am very impatenit... i opened a few of my gifts already... well i was hopping for a new outfit to wear to the christmas devotional that President Bowen gave us, but... i found one pink/samon colored sweater... and i love love love love love love it!! thank you so so so much!! and i also found the picture book...i dont know how many times i have looked through it!! that being said i brought it to the christmas devotional, and showed everyone i could... i had to show off... and i was showing sister bowen... and she asked if i has a picture of my horse... and of course i had one of scooter in my scriptures and i showed it to her... and the she told me that i had to show it to president, and i did... when he saw it, he told me that i was making him homesick... hahaha... i think that was so funny and he wanted to look at all my other pictures too!!! it was so nice!!!!  thank you so much for i just love it!!!!

 

so at the christmas devotional, they showed us a movies... it was TANGLED!!! and it was the best and supper cute!!! we all laughed and we all cried!!! i just loved it!!!! and then we had a super huge lunch that had so much food... lots and lots of meat, soup, potatos, and salad, and cake ... and it was a lot of fun and then we all went into the chaple and listened to all of the 7 languages in our mission give excerpts from Joseph Smith history... of course my fav was ASL.

 

I have had so much fun with sister napigkit... or happy cat... it seems like every where we go we are getting feed, i am so full allll the time!!! and we have the best of time with all the members!!!

 

so yesterday, Racheal our investigator invited us over to make cookies for the people we are teaching... it reminded me of when we did that with the missionaries too... and so we went and made cookes... and wow did we make a lot of cookies... her Bosh machine was full to the max with chocolate chip cookie dough and oh man is it goooooood!!! we have lots and lots of pictures... and we also made snikerdoodle cookies and made a mess of our hands... all the time sis Napigkit found a wig in Racheal's house is is wearing it... it is so cute!!! so now we have cookies to pass out to people!!! :) :) :) :) :)

 

so our plans for christmas eve and for Christmas, for christmas eve it is our p-day... and we will be having fun with the deaf sisters we want to go down to the beach... :) :) :) that should be fun and then for dinner we are having a district dinner of breakfest... that should be a lot of fun to make... we are doing it at a church.. and then after that we are going to go caroling as a district. and then for christmas... all we know is that so far we are going to the Nazers for skype and Christmas Dinner... and we will once again be with the ASL Sisters...so it will be alot of fun and i cannot wait for it to happen!! i am so excited for christmas this year!!!

 

i did get one more package from you... it is the one that says that i cannot open until christmas... well... i am following that one and i am not opening it... but i have not recivied the other one like you said... but we will see.. so, i also have some bad news... my bank account still shows that i have no money and i have no money on my missionary card... so i have not been able to send my gifts so sorry... but they are all wraped and ready to go... but you will just get them late sorry... but you will still be getting them!!!! :) :) :) :) :) please forgive me!!!

Well another week has gone by and guess what happened!!! we got transfer calls and i am not going back to the deaf branch just yet... i will be in lahabra for christmas :) :) :) yay!! but sad to say that sis punaa has left me and i have a new companion sis napigkit she is from the Philippians, and is so cute!!!! :) i will hope to send you a picture today!!! :) :) :) :) :) so that is the big news so far... but all is well, and i am so excited that we get to skype i will be doing it at the Rannis Home sometime around 12pm, noon on christmas... so i hope that will be ok cause i wont know before then anywhy but that is good to know that the user name is your email... that will be easy to remember :) :) :) :) :) 

umm... well it has been very rainy this week, and so it has been interesting and so much fun at the same time!! i really dont know what to write... i forgot what has happened this past week... :( i am happy to know that you all got your cards :) and i hope you gave them to the ward :) They were kinda thrown together.. but i like them and i think they look cute :) 

WOW david is coming for christmas!! that should be alot of fun!!! will it be all of the children??? will they be staying with you or with angies fam?? that is so good to know i bet dad is really excited :) :) :) 

It is crazy, it has been rainy and cold but not super cold nothing lower than 55 bit i am still freezing!! crazy!! HAHAHAHa 

so when does crystal arrive? crazy you will almost have all of the longan children in one place... even david and the only one missing is me.. oh darn... hahaha but oh well i know i will have loads of fun!!!

so at transfers today i got  a big package from you... it is still in the car and i have not opened it yet... but i cannot wait!! :) :) :) :) :) :) 

tell dad that he needs a hair cut... it is getting a little long :) 

I will hopefully send out your gifts today... that is if i have money in my account.... but i dont know if they will be wraped... i dont know yet we will see :) :) :) but i hope mom you like it and dont have one yet.... but if you do you will have a spare :) 

I dont know how long i can skype for or if i can call home too... we will see... but i guess i can tell you when i call you... 

I cannot wait to get a bucket of the goodies!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) : ) they all look so so so amazingly good!!! :) :) :) 

Make sure that the missionaries in your ward have a place to call home... that would be very nice of you!!

Meeting Week 12/10/2012

This past week has been CRAZZZY!!! I have some exciting news... The assistants to the president called last week and extended a calling to me... i am one of the New COORDINATING SISTERS! will that means that i will be going on more exchanges but i will be going to teach and train the other sisters. I will be a zone leader of the sister missionaries. CRAZZZY!! So now i am in a leadership position, and i have been praying ever since... but i guess the lord knows what he is doing right :) 

So now because of my new calling, i have gone to a meetings this week, and so we have been busy with that, and it has been fun. we also had stake conference too, so... it has been a week full of meetings! :) but they have been fun meetings. my first one on tuesday at the mission home we received instruction from President Bowen and sister Bowen on the Doctrine of Christ and how to explain how we become clean after baptism how it is a process. I have learned soooo much!!! and that there will be 46 new missionaries coming to our mission in the next 3 months!!! Wow thats a lot! and that about 20 of them are sisters! so we have our hands full!!! 

My i thought i told you that i like your package... and the tree is on my table and my refrigerator is all nice and decorated :) yay! thank you so much for all of it!!! :) 

I think i will go and get my hair cut too today... :) thank you... and i will be making christmas cards to send out to a lot of people, and i have started looking for gifts for you and dad... i hope you will like them!

that is good to hear that dad liked my story about the bulls, that makes me happy, and let me tell you he is a hard one to shop for...man! but i found so far this cow that shoots balls out of its mouth, now he will maybe be able to fight back on the cows that are beating him up :) i think it is funny!! :) :) :) :) :) 

Pay so sooooo cute and is just a doll, and her hair has gotten so so long!!! and some one needs to put a rock on zayens head!!! and everyone needs to just stop growing!!!! 

I hope that everything will be wonderful for christmas... and that you all will be happily waiting for a phone call... that reminds me... mom are you working that day????

Rain Week‏ 12/3/2012

We have had sooooo much rain!!! Today i am wearing my boots for the first time my whole mission!!! but it has been fun :) 

I AM SO SO SO SORRY CRYSTAL!!! I MEANT TO SEND YOU A BIRTHDAY CARD... BUT I MISSED THE BOAT!!!! BUT I THOUGHT OF YOU ALL DAY!!!! I AM SOO SOOOOOO SOOO SORRY PLASE PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!

my week... well it started out very interesting... for pday we played a game called scatterball... well it is a form of doge ball but... it has no teams and very man for himself... well... i was out and when you get out  you sit on the floor til the person got you out gets out... well... there was an elder standing right behind me and another elder throw a ball at him... well... he missed... and hit me square in my right eye... well... ... i have a very pretty black eye all week thank heaven for make-up... dont worry pictures will follow :) 

so that is how my week started fun right :) then we had a lesson with our new investigators Dan and Ashley... wow... i am so happy when they ask a question they dont mind hearing the words... I dont Know. they ask the hardest deep doctrine questions EVER!!!! and every time we leave their apt. my head hurts. But they are so open minded in which i am very glad!! 

Also we have had fun tracting in the rain.. and i was thinking... when people slam the doors on us, that is what angels will do to them when they come to heavens gates... "sorry my dog barks too loud", " no", " sorry im busy today" ... sometimes thinking that gets me through the tracting... but we had a miracle... :) we knocked on a door and the women inside told us to come in... we were like umm we are missionaries... and she said again... come in, and then she went to the door and let us in, and then after that she came to the door and let us in, after that we sat at her table and were able to give her the first lesson, and talk to her. she is a cross country truck driver, and she has been ready for the gospel for some time.. and we extended baptism, and ... she accepted!! and it was a miracle!! i love the sweet tender mercys the lord sends us. :) 

Also we were able to go to orange for a creshe... well they have on display nativities from around the world and it was held at our church building... and it was amazing to see!!! and dont worry there will be pictures to follow as well!!! :) It was so much fun!!!! 

We also were able to decorate a tree too :) :) :) 

we have had a very fun week!!! :) 

and on wensday... i got a package!!!!   THank you so so much mom!!!!! i love the table runner and the snowmen!!!! thank you!!! they are all so cute!!!! thank you so much... the music is great... but im really not suppose to listen to it... they are romance and worldly songs some of them... but we skip a few of the really bad ones but i am very thankful for them thank thank thank you so so so so much i love it a lot!!!!!!

Thanksgiving week‏ 11/26/2012

WOW!!!!!!! 

jenni you got a new dog... how cute!!! i am so happy for you!!!! that will be good for your family :) Elisabeth Rannis is my new recent convert... and we are with her a lot and she was showing me instagram and i told her to look you up so I could see the pictures you put up... she is 11 and is a drama queen but i love her to death :) 

which reminds me... i have not heard a lot about Rufus... how is he??? i have been thinking a lot about him... please fill me in... i miss him so so much... and please... cause i know it would not put it past you if he ran away or died that you wouldnt tell me... so Please PLEASE!!! tell me how he is doing and please reassure me that my baby is still alive and not dead :) 

WOW!! mom... do you ever leave your sewing room??? everything you say that you have been doing... do you ever leave??? that is good that you are keeping busy!! and that you are enjoying it too, i am happy for you! i have of recent been thinking a lot about you, and i hope that you are ok. :)  The package you sent me was amazing thank you so much!!! there was alot of candy in it and so i had to share a lot of it... I really like the earrings!!! and so did sister punaa so i gave her a pair... and the shoes!! they are the best and i wear them every chance i get!!!! the one question you asked me that i forgot to respond was what i want for christmas... well.. i dont know... hmm well i would like some more of my spray, dark kiss from bath and body works, and maybe like hmmm gift cards... i dont  know just send what ever you think is best... i will be back at the deaf branch for christmas... so it should be interesting. it is sad to hear about sandie and her car troubles, i did email ryan and i got a responce... that was nice,,, i think i will try and write him today...

my week, well, it was very slow... lots of people have been gone... and half are not nice cause they are busy... so... it has been super slow... but for the day of thanksgiving we went over to a members home and had dinner... it was different... it was a sitdown dinner and we were all around the table... there was only 7 adults and 2 children... it was super small... but all of the food was so so good!!! and they all loved the pumpkin desert thank you for sending me it! :) other than that nothing really eventful happened... sis punaa and i have had to entertain our selves a lot so we have been laughing a lot!!! which is fun!! :) oh and i finally had something to eat that i did not like... it was a stuffed aporcorn squish, it was gross.. there was this very not good meatloaf in it and it was gross... but i eat it... but surprisingly sis punaa liked it.. so that is good :) 

Crystal... wow did it snow much??? ;) I love to look at all the pictures you send in your blog updates... and i am also not very happy with you for talking about seeing breaking dawn 2... not very nice, but i guess i can forgive ya... maybe... 

will you send me the rules for hand and foot... i want to teach it to sis punaa we play canasta a lot but i want to teach her that one too.. i think it would be fun :) 

if there are any boxes coming my way anytime soon... can i make a request... can i have razors... good ones... and shampoo and conditioner... like a loofa ... and tampons... bathroom stuff, cause when i buy it, it seems like i dont have enough money left over for the month. that would be super helpful!!! please and thank you... 

I think the story of pay and crying cause joe had the ipad is funny. how are they doing?? I noticed that amber's hair is a lot darker... well it has always be dark but i should say it looks different... 

oh and poor cade... he looks like skin and bones in the picture of him takin his treatment.

and thanks for the info about greg's sis... thats cool to know, she is a really nice girl. :)

I am so thankful for everything you all do for me! thank you very very much!!! I know that the lord has blessed me so much when he sent me to this family. :)

I just thought i would tell you that i love you! :) I really do hope that you are having a good week and that you know that i pray for you all the time. The other day i was thinking of you and i felt a very huge longing to see you and hug you... it almost made me cry. so i want you to know that i love you and that i really do miss you!! i hope that you are getting enough sleep and that everything is good for you! I am prompted to tell you about pres. udorfs. talk, about regrets and resolutions, you should read it, but you should think of his topic of not allowing our selves to be happy now, mom i know that you are happy but you can be even happier... think about it... i am trying to do the same too. :) I love you so much!!! have a good week. :)

Another Baptism Weekend!!!! :)‏ 11/19/2012

Thats Right!!! I had another Baptism this past sunday!!! that makes a grand total of 6 here in LaHabra :) :) we have been busy!!!!!!!!!!!!  the Baptism was of Elenista and Elisabeth. they are both sisters and their parents are members but are starting to go back to church. they are cusins of Julianna and Alexandria, and in fact Alexandria spoke at the baptism... it was so wonderful and there was not enough seats for everyone there!! It was crazy.... and and !!! their 19 yrold bro met the YSA elders and exchanged numbers... so hopefully that works out tooo!!!!! :) and Alexandria brought a friend to the baptism and agreed to meet with us!!! did i tell you that we are busy... cause we are... wow!!! 

So this past week has been full of surprises!!! we had president interviews and that was so nice and uplifting... he told me the only reason that i am here in  lahabra again is cause i asked to stay... but he told me when the transfer is finished that i will be going back to the deaf branch. which will be fun! but it is so nice to know why i am here again... and i love it so much!!! 

We have spent a lot of time at the Rannis home.. well with four baptisms in their family in such a short time... its like we basically live there and i love it!! they are so much fun!!! and in fact Dawn on of the mothers signed up to feed us tonight so that means that we will be there again... :) :) ... oh man... paul made us dinner on saturday night it was the be spaghetti that i have ever had in allllll of my life!!! the noodles where from italy and the sauce was home made and there was sausage in it... oh man was it soo soo super goooooddddd!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)  

so, mother to answer all of your questions... the cruise... why dont we just go to tahiti and visit sister punaa? just kidding that is the most expensive place to go in the world... any way... but it would be fun to go to hawaii or alaska... i dont want to go to mexico... no thank you... lets see... oh byu... i want to go there and get my generals and then transfer to uvu cause they have an excellent deaf studies program... but i dont have instate tuition so... byu for a year... well if they accept me we will see or... i will move there and work for a year... either or... :) :) :) :) :) :) :) please always keep me updated on all of your surgery stuff... PLEASE!!!! oh to pick me up... well wouldnt it be expensive for you to pick me up??? dont you want to save money??? but if you are dead set on it... let me know so i can tell the office so they dont book the flight... its what you want to do mom... if you pick me up i dont have to worry about what my suitcase can carry... i can take home more stuff :) :) :) :) :) :) :) so ... but it is up to you, if thats what you want to do, just let me know. I think that is all of the questions you asked me about... i think if i forgot any i am sorry and ask again :) 

thank you for sending me pumpkin desert :) i cannot wait to make it : ) :) :) Sister Punaa who doesnt even like pumpkin said she will try it!!!! yay!!! I cant wait my mouth is already watering for it :)

WOW two week in missouri thats a very long time but Charrity does really like her grandma a lot ... im not that surprised. i hope they drive save. 

i am happy that dad is finally happy with his teeth... i hope he is still not being grumpy any more

I still think it is crazy that ashley has a boyfriend but i am happy for her... ya and it does suck that she cannot be alone with him in the house when she is 26... hahah... i am so greatful that i had my apartment in college :) :) :) :)

Another Baptism Week!‏ 11/13/2012

This past week has been AMAZING!!!! ... so a fast rundown of my week and then i will explain :) 

Monday- P-day, Dana's baptism interview, and teaching Elenitsa

Tuesday- Election day, visiting  a lot of the rannis girls 

Wensday- Zone conference with a member of the qurom of the first 70- Elder ... well he is from Germany 

Thursday- Racheal, and more time at the rannis home, including dinner.... 

Friday- Elder brush birthday lunch, Bob

Saturday- Temple tour, Dana's Baptism 

Sunday- Church :) 

Monday- P-day, fhe with a family in the ward 

ok.... so that was my week in a nutshell... and we were super busy!!!!! and we are having so much fun!! and guess what....

I AM STAYING IN LAHABRA FOR ONE MORE TRANSFER!!!!!!!!!!!

so... monday, pday was great, we had a lot of fun, and then we went to dana's baptism interview and of course he passed!!! :) and then we went and taught Elenitsa, she is so great and very excited to get baptized this coming sunday! :) then Tuesday, election day... well... we kinda saw a little bit of it on tv at the rannis home... but it was intersting to watch... but in the end Julianna texted us and told us that obama won. thats ok. and then on wensday we had elder ( ok i am going to sound it out... but it will be how you say it not how it is spelled)... ca-pa-ish-ca, anyway... he was amazing!! we went way over on time with how long he talked and it was amazing!!! I loved it!!! his big speal was that we all have dreams and desires we need to be agents and achieve them, and with heavenly fathers help we can! and it was so amazing!!!! :) and he was so nice and so funny! I really enjoyed myself.:) and then for thursday... we spent more time with investigators, racheal, and she gave us apple butter YUMMM! and then we went over to the Rannis home, again, and we even had dinner with them and they cooked a danish dish,  pork chops with nutmeg for seasoning... and it was so so so good i loved it! :) and then we taught Elenitsa again, and during that time their hometeachers showed up and were able to give he a blessing, and afterwards she told us that she could feel the spirit during the blessing ... so amazing!!!! then Friday, we went out for lunch as a district to a place of Elder Brushes Choice, and so it was his birthday and he also went home today :( but anyway, we went to a buffet, a seafood BuFFET!!! i was happy and it was good and we all had fun! and then that night we taught Bob about temples it was so good and so filled with the spirit! :) then on saturday, we had the temple tour down in newport, so we were able to get our investigator max to go, and it was so fun to learn so much about the temple here :) how the members in Orange County paid in full the temple it was not paid by tithing that is so cool! :) and then we had to rush back to LaHabra for Dana's Baptism and heavenly father guided the way for that one!  so we had another baptism on saturday and that makes 4 baptism with in 6weeks... that is amazing!!! :) AND we are haveing another one this sunday too :) :) :) so.. on sunday dana and alexandria got the holy ghost! that was so amazing to see!!! :) and then on P-day we had fhe with a family and the YW from the family wants to go on a mission and so we answered all sorts of questions and it was so amazing and a fun packed week!!!!!!!

so, that was my week. on ward to the next one! :) 

I wanted to thank MOM, and CRYSTAL!!!!! thank you so much for the packages!!! i love love love love them!!! crystal the skirts are perfect!!! and they fit me very nicely thank you so much!!! and mom, of course i can wear red shoes!!! and i love them so so much!!!! thank you so so much for them!!!! :) 

So, ryan will be in the mtc this week, means i need to write him another letter....
